Children Are Awesome

September 29, 2008

And that better be true because there is only 1 day a week I don’t work with them. Monday through Friday I work at Avalon Elementary as an extended day teacher. I work with the 4th and 5th graders, it’s probably the easiest ob you can imagine, just give em snacks, help em with homework and keep em from killing each other. Plus they are cool kids and like to tell me fun stories and play games. Sundays I teach the 4th and 5th graders in Powerhouse at the church. They are awesome too, and I like getting to actually have a curriculum to teach. I also act in there, so all the kids will come up afterwards and say hi, its adorable. And soon I’ll start babysitting on Sunday nights. Oh and Crave on Wednesdays, they arent exactly kids, they are middle and high school, bu its still awesome to be involved in their lives. So, in summary: I love kids.

The downside is I have no idea what grade I wan to teach when I graduate now.. so I need to keep praying about that.

Oh also, I was reading my bible today and decided 1 Peter is probably my favorite book in the bible right now.

History Has Been Made

September 7, 2008

So, I promised to write a blog on this, so I am following through. Tonight, or technically last night, Nathan and I worked together for the first time ever. Okay, not really the first time ever, but it was effective and it has been a while, so it was very exciting! We are definitely a great Mafia alliance, and cannot be stopped.. except, we were stopped because he got busted. But, not because of me. Because, I am a good teammate.

That is really all I needed to say tonight, is that we worked together, and it was bodacious, much like the 80’s. C3 tomorrow!
