Gotta love Facebook.

Haha, okay. So. In my last post, I wished my friend Jeremy luck.

Well, that was because tonight he was going to ask out Amber. So, anyway, via Facebook, it was pretty easy to figure out that it went well, and so now we have a new couple on our hands.

So, lucky for me, I got to hear the story of how he asked her, which was probably the sweetest thing ever.

Apparently, when they got off work, they we’re walking out to go home, and he points at her car and makes a big deal saying “who would do that??” so, amber thinks her car is messed up, and then she sees that there are flowers on her seat. He took her hands and gave her the whole speech about how wonderful she is, and asked her out. She said yes obviously, and it was all sweet and mushy and adorable.

Basically, it’s extremely cute, and I’m happy for them, they are 2 of the greatest people I know and they are going to be ridiculously good to each other.

Work should be more interesting from now on

Seriously?

I am really getting annoyed with the level of crime in my neighborhood. I was on my way back from work, and I take Colonial to Old Cheney, to get home, old cheney is basically the entrance to my neighborhood. So, I’m getting up there and I see a cop car parked, with his lights on at old cheney on the opposite side of 50. Figured he pulled someone over, didn’t see any car, but whatever. Then I saw another on the side I’m on.. and another. all with thier lights on, and the cops standing beside thier doors. As I’m driving past Tucker, a Channel 9 van literally about plowed into my driver side door (but I forgive them because a lot of them shop at LifeWay), I figure, okay, something must have happened then. Another cop car, same deal, lights on, cop outside the vehicle, on Old Cheney, at Ron’s. (its a car place). so I turned on 9 when i got home, apparently someone got stabbed in a house on Tucker. Nice.

I’m over this stuff.

Really.

I want to move.

I want to move regardless, but I especially want to move given the crime situation.

I don’t think you have any idea.. I mean, I know it’s not the projects or anything, but there are always search helicopters, cops, it gets intense. Ever heard of reverse 911? Not many of my friends have. I have. We get those a lot. I’m used to it all, and I never get freaked out, but it just isn’t cool. In reality I wish people were’nt stabbing other people in the first place. But living around it is just.. worse somehow. I can’t ignore that stuff when it interferes with my daily life.

Okay. I just needed to rant about that for a second.

I am going to start working as a leader with Crave now I guess. It was pretty cool last night, I definitely want to be involved, and I’m trying to work it out to be a camp counselor this year. I’m going to see about PowerHouse this weekend too.

And as a last little note: Good luck to Jeremy tonight. My LifeWay people know what I’m talking about.
